Braided Silver Earrings No. 1

A pair of square-format earrings with no stones. Each face carries a central design of horizontal applied silver bars, with the outer edges framed in twisted wire that gives a rope-like border. The silver surface reads textured rather than mirror-smooth, with a slightly darkened patina in the recesses between the bars and inside the twist. Made by Tom Charlie, Navajo. One piece, held at the gallery in Santa Fe.
