Sugilite and Golden Hills Turquoise Cuff

The center stone is a rectangular cabochon with rounded corners, deep translucent purple shading nearly black in places. Two oval cabochons flank it, light sky blue with irregular dark brown to reddish-brown webbed matrix. Twisted rope wire borders all three stones, with applied round silver beads along the outer edges and small leaf-like scalloped elements at the joins. Polished silver, patina in the crevices. Made by Kathleen Yazzie, Navajo. Measures 5.5" inside; 1.5" gap & across; weighs 113 g. One piece, held at the gallery in Santa Fe.
