Dakota Roberts is an emerging artist from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Fine Arts from Roger Williams University. After college, she made the decision to pursue her passion for art full-time.

Dakota’s artistic approach is eclectic, with a primary focus on mixed media. She blends elements of collage and mosaic with acrylic paint to create layered works inspired by nature and the environment. Continuously experimenting with materials and subject matter, she believes in pushing creative boundaries and avoids being confined to a single style or medium.

She currently works at a major art gallery in Santa Fe, where she continues to develop her career and expand her knowledge of the art world. Dakota is represented by two local galleries in Santa Fe, and her work has been shown in several local art shows, shops, and markets, including two solo exhibitions. Her art was also featured in an advertisement in Santa Fe Magazine.

In addition to her gallery work, Dakota takes on custom commissions, including pet portraits, and is currently open for commissions in 2025.

Her long-term goal is to open a gallery that supports new and emerging artists.
